How we work
This page explains what this site does, what it does not do, and how the articles in the Guides section are written.
What the comparator does
The comparator estimates what a selection of supplementary insurance products is worth to your household, based on the conditions the insurers publish. Every amount rests on an insurer's document, down to the page. The figures shown are indicative.
It does not cover the whole Swiss market. Acceptance, exclusions and the actual premium are decided by the insurer. With your consent, follow-up and insurance offers are handled by the advisers of Elevana Brokerage.
How our articles are written
Each article relies first on official sources: statutes published on Fedlex, and pages of the Confederation and the federal offices. The sources are listed under each article, with the date they were consulted.
Articles show when they were published and last updated, and point out what depends on your contract or your situation. They give general information and replace neither legal advice nor individual insurance advice.
Translations
Articles are written in French. The German, Italian, English and Portuguese versions are translated with artificial intelligence and have not been legally reviewed. Each translation says so at the top of the page and links to the French original, which is the authoritative version.
Reporting an error
If you spot an error or outdated information, write to contact@comparateur-lca.ch. Corrected articles show their new update date.
