Who is responsible for your data
Henrique Da Silva Sousa is the controller for the processing carried out by this comparator and this platform, and decides why and how your data is used here.
Once an insurance adviser working with ELEVANA Brokerage Sàrl has received your request, they are responsible for their own subsequent processing of it, under their own professional obligations.
What we collect
Household contact details (email address and phone number) and your postal code. For each household member: an optional name, date of birth, sex, whether a pregnancy is planned or in progress, and the annual amounts you declare for gym or fitness, glasses or lenses, and alternative medicine. If you tell us about cover you already hold, we also store the insurer, the products you select, the monthly premium you enter, and — where your insurer is not in our list — the insurer name you type. We store the language you used, so an adviser can reply in it.
Pregnancy, the health-related spending you declare, and the details of any complementary cover you already hold are particularly sensitive personal data under Swiss data protection law, and we handle them accordingly. Date of birth and sex are ordinary personal data. We do not ask for any other health information: please do not type diagnoses, policy numbers or medical details into the free-text insurer field.
Why we collect it
To match your household against Swiss complementary (LCA) insurance options and show you a shortlist, and — only once you give your consent — to make your request available to an insurance adviser working with ELEVANA Brokerage Sàrl so they can prepare a personalized quote.
Who we share it with
With your explicit consent only, your request is made available to one insurance adviser working with ELEVANA Brokerage Sàrl. The adviser signs in to a protected area of this site with their own account and reads your request there. We do not email your details to them. The notification that tells the adviser a request is waiting contains no contact details, no household answers and nothing that grants access to them. Once the adviser has read your request, they are responsible for that copy of it under their own professional obligations.
This site and the data it holds are hosted in Switzerland at Infomaniak, a Swiss provider, which also handles outgoing mail for it. Where the operator has configured mail delivery, a new submission also sends a short notification to the mailbox the adviser watches. That notification contains only the event, its date, your canton, your language and an opaque reference — no name, no contact details and none of the answers you gave. It may include a link to the protected adviser area, but that link does not itself grant access to your request; the adviser must sign in with their own account.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond what is listed here.
Separately: once an adviser enters a real premium for your household, that figure contributes to a de-identified “community pricing” estimate shown to future visitors — but only once premiums from at least five households exist for the same insurer, plan, canton, age band and sex, and only ever as a combined median. Your individual premium is never shown to another visitor. What those observations contain, and their limits, are described under “How long we keep it”.
The insurance and pension check-up
If you use the insurance and pension check-up, your seven answers stay on your device until you ask to be contacted. Only with your explicit consent do we store your email address, phone number and postal code, the seven answers (where you live, how long you have been in Switzerland, who you live with, your work situation, the insurance and pension cover you already have, and your main concern) and the general profile computed from them, and make them available to one insurance adviser working with ELEVANA Brokerage Sàrl, who contacts you about the topics shown.
The check-up asks no health questions. These details are kept on the same terms as comparator requests, never for more than 90 days, and you can withdraw your consent or ask for them to be deleted at any time.
How long we keep it
Your request is kept only for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry, and for no longer than 90 days.
One adviser is responsible for your request at a time. They reach it by signing in to their own account; there is no link that opens it on its own. Their access ends when the request is deleted, when it is passed to someone else, or when their account is closed — whichever comes first. Under the retention period below, that means their access can last until the request is deleted after 90 days.
Your identifiable data — your contact details, and each household member's date of birth, sex, declared spending and current cover — is deleted from the live application no more than 90 days after your request, by an automated deletion process. Copies may persist for a further period in backups. Those backups are rotated, so such copies do not accumulate indefinitely; because expiry follows a backup cycle rather than a fixed calendar, we do not state that backup window as a fixed number of days.
De-identified pricing observations are kept separately and may be retained beyond 90 days, including after your identifiable data has been deleted. Each one holds the insurer, the plan, the canton, an age band, sex, the month, and the exact premium figure. None of them carries a name, a contact detail, or any database link to your request, to a household member, or to a quote. De-identified is not the same as anonymous: we cannot rule out that someone with additional knowledge — an adviser who remembers a quote they wrote, for example — could connect an observation back to a household.
We record the moment you gave your consent. For requests submitted from 1 September 2026 onward we also record which version of the consent wording was shown to you; requests submitted before that date have no recorded wording version.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time, using the contact details in the “Contact” section below.
Where it's stored
The live application and its data are hosted in Switzerland on infrastructure provided by Infomaniak. Backups are encrypted before they leave the application server and are stored in Switzerland using Infomaniak Public Cloud Object Storage. We do not state the exact datacentre in which backup copies are held.
How we measure use of this site
We count how the comparator is used, so we can see where it is confusing: how many browsers open it, which questionnaire steps are reached and finished, where the form refuses to continue, and how many requests are sent.
To do that your browser keeps a random identifier in its own storage. It is not a cookie and is not sent with ordinary page requests — only with these usage events. It holds nothing about you: no name, no contact details, none of your answers, and nothing derived from them. It is not linked to your request, and no adviser ever sees it.
It is pseudonymous rather than anonymous: it identifies a browser, not a person, and two devices count as two. We delete it, and the usage events belonging to it, after 30 days. What we keep after that is counts alone — how many browsers reached a step on a given day — which carry no identifier.
We use no third-party analytics service, no advertising tools, and nothing that follows you to other websites. If you would rather not be counted, blocking storage for this site or using a private window prevents it.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time.
For access requests we will normally respond within 30 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
Correction and deletion requests are handled without undue delay. How long they take depends on the request itself — a correction we can verify is immediate, while a deletion may have to wait for a scheduled deletion run or for backups to age out.
